Teacher Appreciation cards- Think Pink

For these cards I used the SAB scrapbook kit from 2011. I realized I have 3 of these and having boys, I don’t have a lot of opportunity for Pink in scrapbooks, or flowers for that matter. So, I decided to use some of the kits to make cards. Since I had to make 4 sets of cards 1 kit worked great! I was thinking when I started it would help use up 2, but I only ever used 1/2 of 1 kits to make these and a few other cards for this occassion. I will be going back to them to make more for other gifts I need later this summer!

2 of the Teacher Appreciation Cards

I already showed the bags that were made for the Teacher’s Appreciation gift.  I am going to try to group the cards that were made and put inside.

These two I made specifically because they helped showcase the school colors, and matched the bags!

Hehehe…. does this card look a little familar?  I told you before that I loved this layout!

Thank You- Variations

Last week, I posted two of the Thank You cards that I had made for my kids to send out for collecting money for their school fund raiser.  Here are the remaining cards that they sent.

They all have the Same DSP (Summer Smooches), but I had to change either the back ground Layer or Ribbon.  Their schools colors are Blue and Yellow, so I wanted to still try to keep to those colors on the cards as well.

This one uses the Pacific Point paper behind the DSP and White ribbon.  Yes, this ribbon is retired, but it was the best size to use on these cards.

This one, I switched the background paper to Daffodil Delight, but kept the white ribbon.

This one, I used Daffodil Delight for both the background paper and ribbon.

I love to just take an idea and play around with it some to see what I come up with.  Sometime I find one I love more than another, and other times, I just end up liking them all!

What do you think?

Sunny Challenges & Creations Card

I am so honored that I was seleced to be a guest designer for Sunny Challenges & Creations Challenge this week.  I was so nervous about making something good enough for this honor, I made 2 cards!

This was my gender neutral Birthday card.

This was my take for an older boy/ male card.

This is the sketch we had to base our cards from:

Thank you cards

Each year our school does a walk-a-thon type fund raiser instead of selling items.  So my kids get to write thank you cards for everyone that donates money.  Our school colors are Pacific Point Blue and Daffodil Delight Yellow (okay, so those are the closest SU colors!)  With it for the school I wanted to have some fun with the paper on the thank you cards.

I loved this paper when I saw it the first time in the catalog.  Perfect for anyone scrapboooking school pictures.  However, I used up the paper making cards and other items!

The only difference between these two is the ribbon going down the center of the card.  I couldn’t decide if I liked it or if it took away from the paper.  So, I do what I tend to do, and make one of each!
